The Riverland offers many festivals. Just a few of these are:

 The Crushing/ Harvest festival held in most of the major towns in late March- early April.

The Mardi Gras is held in March each year in Loxton.

The Loxton Gift, an athletic foot race is run in conjunction with the Mardi Gras and attracts athletes and family and friends from all over the state and across the borders.

The hot air balloon festival is held in Renmark over the long weekend in May.

The South Australian Country Music Festival is held over a 10 day period in Barmera in June with the finals held over the long weekend.

The Australian Sheep Dog Trials are held in Barmera each September.

Farmers' Markets, Saturdays in Barmera show buildings. 7am start, produce direct from the grower to the consumer.

Loxton Lights Up is held on the last weekend in November each year, and starts the Christmas Lights presentation in that town
