Riverland
Respite and Recreation Service Inc. strives to assist
individuals with disabilities to become valued members of the
community through the development and provision of high
quality Respite, Day Options, Recreation/Holiday and
Accommodation services, ensuring individuals have maximum
control over all
choices.

What is Riverland Respite &
Recreation Service
Inc?
Riverland Respite & Recreation
Service Inc. is a not for profit non-government agency
that provides a range of respite & recreation
opportunities for people with a disability and their families
living within the Riverland Region.
The Service can
help families by:
Arranging
respite at our Centre Based Respite facility, "Respite
House" in Renmark.
Arranging respite in your home.
Arranging respite
in a Support Worker's Home.
Providing a variety of sporting and
recreation activities on weekends, weeknights and during the
school holidays.
Providing a Day Options Program for people
who have left school. Riverland
Respite & Recreation Inc. aims to provide support which is
developmental in nature and flexible to meet the family's
needs.This means that the client will receive
support which will provide a positive and worthwhile
experience designed around the individual. Carers on the
other hand, have the opportunity to take a break from their
caring role.
Trained and Skilled Support Workers are
employed to support clients. On induction to the Service a
Police Check is carried out on all Support Workers.
All Staff have the
following qualifications;
