Model Rockets

Although model rockets mainly do what they are supposed to, we always launch where an
un-planned event can not cause any harm because they are un-guided.

Here are a couple of launches with our black powder class rockets.

The left one is a 2 stage rocket, and on the right Julie pushes the button on her Falcon.

Camera button timing improves with experience!

Now for some rockets on steroids!

These are a few of the rockets at a recent Adelaide Advanced Rockets Inc. launch day.

These are many times the power of the smaller ones above, and are chunky!

They are also more spectacular in flight as they are 1 to 2 metres in length, with a diameter of up to 15 cms.

The parachute recovery system on the right was particulary stable, and didn't swing or spin. And it had a gentle descent rate.

Oh, and the rocket flew well too. More details as we get them.

And watch for some launch videos, the sound is amazing!
