Prepaid Plans

With our prepaid plans, you buy a block of hours and download data, paying for it before you use it. You don't have to use the whole plan in any set time. Our accounting system will send you an email when the plan is 90% finished, giving you time to arrange another plan etc. Also, at any time you can check how much you've used on our "Account Information" webpages.

The plans consist of both hours and megabyte components, and the plan finishes when either total is reached.

*The megabyte component measures all the data coming through your modem. This is also known as your download volume or rate. On an external modem, this is indicated by the RD (Receiving Data) light.

Why does Plan 4 cost less?

Because the allowed download volume is less. This plan is best for users whose average download rates are 4 Mb per hour or less, which is about half of our users. This useage is suited to users who spend time chatting, or who download less than the average amount of data. We don't recommend this plan for new users because there is no way to know their download rate.

What does this mean to me?
If you spend time chatting, or don't download a lot of web content, this plan would suit you. However, Plan 3 is a better deal for higher volume users per Mb. So, check your average download rate from your account status page by dividing your download figure by the number of hours taken. If the result is 4 (Megabytes per hour) or below, you would benefit from being on Plan 4.

How our Prepaid Plans work

All plans must be in credit before they will operate. While using a plan, one extra plan can be paid for in advance, which will automatically carry on when the old plan finishes.
When a pre-paid plan is nearing its end, an automatic email is sent advising you that to ensure uninterrupted service, a further payment needs to be made, and the next plan can be paid for, and waiting.
If there is no pre-paid plan waiting, the account will lock, and you won't be able to log in until another plan is in place.

Tax Invoices
As you would expect, we will issue a tax invoice whenever we bill your account for something. With prepaid plans, that usually happens at the time of payment, but sometimes it's later. For instance, if you've paid for several plans at once, at payment time we can only invoice (at most) two plans, since our login system works with only two at a time. The remaining plans can't be invoiced until a plan has been used up.

Also, we can't issue tax invoices until you have actually paid for the plan. They are pre-paid plans - when we bill you, the plan starts working. We can issue pro-forma invoices, but the tax invoice will come after payment has been made.

A company or organisation can apply for monthly billing in arrears, but since it involves more work for everyone, our charges for this type of account are higher.

Credit hours will remain available for use 12 months after we have received any payments for them. If they are not used for 12 months then they will be reviewed, they cannot be transferred or refunded. Accounts that are in credit that have not been used for 6 months will be locked (not cancelled) and arrangements will have to be made with us to access the account.

Prepaid plans are available for single user accounts only.

You can only change to a different plan after the original plan has been used up.

Making Payments

IMPORTANT-Please ensure that your username accompanies any payments!

Payments can be made by any of the following methods...
(NOTE-When paying at an agency, allow a few days for the payment to reach us. It can not be credited until we receive it.
Also, ensure that your correct username is indicated on the receipt to avoid payments going to a wrong account.

All accounts: At any time you can check how much time you've used on our Account Information webpages.

All accounts include an e-mail address and server space for a web page. Accounts with what we determine to be commercial web pages must be used for at least 10hrs per month or they will incur a hosting fee of $22.00 inc GST per month.

Options for all plans and accounts:

  • Extra e-mail mailbox  $11.00/yr inc GST
  • Extra e-mail alias   $11.00/yr inc GST
  • Redirect e-mail to another address  $5.50 inc GST per re-direction for 3 months
